The Swingle Singers

Joanna L’Estrange (formerly Joanna Forbes) was a member of The Swingle Singers from 1998 to 2004 and Musical Director from 1999 to 2004. During this time, she led the eight singers in over 500 performances all over the world: a cappella shows, contemporary operas (at La Scala Milan and Le Chatelet in Paris) and orchestral concerts (including many performances of Berio’s iconic Sinfonia). In 2003, she reunited the group with bass and drums rhythm section for the 40th Anniversary World Tour. She also directed and produced six albums as well as collaborating with artists including Jarvis Cocker and Michael Nyman.
